This is a good tv; but my mistake was thinking the full array was adjustable. It is not and stays on; thus some write up was wrong while making my decision. This will be a new standard; but there are many cheaper sets with good quality. The service seems real nice. The tuner is painfully slow while changing channels; perhaps the slowest I have seen (taking several seconds). The picture is very dark and makes dark areas unviewable. At 1100.00 this tv might be a couple hundred over valued when shopping around for deals and various models.
This tv has many setting and rather up to date. Should be able to brighten things up and adjust picture with all the controls making it a rather nice picture. Time will tell; but with energy going thru the roof in the near future... this may be a great buy. It is a newer technology; recommend getting the warranty advantage which has sweet service. Was going to buy from newegg and waited for stocking about a month... then they discontinued; not a good sign in retrospect. Hope this helps!
